Press release - Record production at RHI’s Hochfilzen plant!    02/05/2008

The RHI plant in Hochfilzen, Tyrol, which celebrated its 50-year anniversary last September, reported record output in 2007. The volume of sinter magnesia produced exceeded the 100,000-tonne mark for the first time in 18 years. Exactly 102,930 tonnes of sinter magnesia were produced. Moreover, the plant also hit an all-time high of 131,397 tonnes in the production of refractory mixes.

The export ratio exceeded 95 %. RHI products made in Hochfilzen are delivered from Tyrol to 65 countries worldwide. This excellent result reflects the customers’ trust in the Tyrolean quality products. The outstanding production figures were achieved by a nearly unchanged number of employees, which underscores the impressive performance of the entire staff.

In order to secure the positive development of the plant in the long term, more than € 3 million was invested in the plant’s infrastructure and production technology in 2007.
