The IP department, responsible for patents, trademarks and licenses, is located at the Technology Center in Leoben and integrated within the research and development activities.

This department is the primary contact for all issues related to industrial property rights and coordinates and executes all associated activities. These include filing, maintenance and defence of RHI’s industrial property rights, contract support concerning IP issues and monitoring third party IP rights. Implementing the IP strategy, including creation and optimization of the IP portfolio as well as opposition and infringement proceedings, is performed in cooperation with the  business units.
